Reporter, after listening to new media editor complain about giving up caffeine for Lent: “Want to know what I’m giving up for Lent? Hope.”

I decided to quit coffee once, years ago. A friend I looked up to sat beside me, looked me in the eye, and straightly said – “that’s the stupidest thing I have ever heard.” Changed my life.
